Willie Nordmann

Willie Nordmann brings over two decades of software development experience to G3, with deep expertise in geospatial technology and mapping systems. A graduate of Saint Louis University with a degree in Computer Science, Willie began his career digitizing aeronautical charts and quickly became immersed in the evolving world of web mapping technologies.

Throughout his career, Willie has built custom KML parsers, contributed to open source mapping projects, and developed libraries that enable developers to create rich, interactive geospatial web applications. His technical contributions have simplified complex mapping workflows and made advanced geospatial capabilities more accessible to development teams across the industry.

In recent years, Willie has focused his efforts on the practical applications of artificial intelligence within geospatial workflows. He has presented on AI integration at GEOINT conferences and is currently leading initiatives to deploy client-side AI models and intelligent agents that enhance efficiency across mapping and analysis processes. Whether developing smarter maps or building intelligent automation systems, Willie is driven by the challenge of bringing emerging technologies into real-world operational use.

When he's not writing code, Willie can be found brewing beer or serving as a certified BJCP beer and mead judge—always ready to trade tech discussions for tasting notes.
